During the forum, parents will ask candidates questions about their visions for our DC education system and how they plan to work with families and communities to make those visions a reality. We know when parents show up, they ask the REAL questions - you don’t want to miss out. When parents come together, you can feel the #ParentPower in the room!
Attendees will also have an opportunity to build community with other parents, caregivers, and families! And you know there’sno party like a PAVE party - at the forum we’ll bring the child care, food, good music, and (of course) the #PurpleWave! All you need to bring is yourself and your questions for the candidates.
#Vote4DCKids is a parent-led campaign to put our children at the center of one of our most important rights because OUR VOICE = OUR VOTE! We want our elected officials to make decisions about education and social policy with families and children first, particularly those who are Black, Brown, and low-income and have too often been left behind in our city’s growth.
