HOW PARENTS' VISION SUPPORTS ALL FAMILIES!

Mayor Bowser’s proposed investments for OST programs are critical funds to support our OST programs, but we must ensure these funds are implemented well and equitably allocated!

That’s why in the final FY23 budget, parent leaders want to see a strategic plan for OST programs that includes input from families, educators, OST providers and community partners at EVERY step of the process.

This strategic plan MUST include:

Defining what a high-quality OST program looks like and metrics for evaluation.
An updated needs assessment to identify existing program gaps/needs, and looking at both location and program type.
Innovative and consistent engagement with families to determine the types of programs they want in their ward and community.
