A coalition of 503 parent leaders of different backgrounds and schools helped to shape these statements and is asking ALL of our leaders and policymakers to prioritize a parent-led vision for this work, so that DC centers its decision making in the experiences of kids and families.
What comes next?
Beginning on January 23rd, PAVE's annual DC Parent Voice and Choice Week (DCPVCW) will bring PAVE parent leaders and DC’s elected leaders and policymakers together at the John A. Wilson Building! Over the course of 5 days, PAVE parent leaders will chair meetings with decision makers, ask questions, and share their stories and perspectives - including their Statements of Beliefs on OST programs and SBMH!
